Weekend cider
I plan to do my yearly cider batch in a few days. I usually use EC-1118 and get a pretty dry result. This year I'm going to use an ale yeast in an attempt to get a less dry result.
I'm just here for the beer.

I switched to ale yeasts for turbocider a while ago. It's good.

Re: Weekend cider
Confused! Why does it say 'cider' on the bottles? Is it already fermented? I thought you made your own.

Re: Weekend cider
For some, unknown to me, reason non fermented apple squeezings are called cider or, some brands, juice. And after fermentation called hard cider.MarkA wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 9:48 pmI think in the US cider = apple juice and hard cider = ciderguypettigrew wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 3:24 pmConfused! On Tuesday I took a gravity reading: 1.048-1.000, and added 7.6 ozs of coconut:
