strawbery and lime cider

Post by ianc » Fri May 17, 2019 3:23 pm

My other half (bless her) has taken a liking to the coppaberg strawerry and lime cider, id like to try to brew as close to this as poss, tried a bulldog mixed berry kit, its ok ish but a bit thin on flavour, next time i'll reduce it to 20 litres but if you have any ideas how to enhance the flavour or brew from scratch then please shout out...
Merry christmas...

been drinking my stout !!!!!

You can get strawberry and lime kits. ‘On the rocks’ or something.

strawbery and lime cider

Seems the bulldog is strawberry and the on the rocks is raspberry.

Like you said, brew it short and use dextrose not table sugar to see if that makes a difference. Or even a brew enhancer which has some light DME in.

ianc,
Cordial and squash will have sulphites and metabisulphates and other stuff in them that do not lend themselves to brewing.
Check the bottles before you waste 20Lts.
I did it once without checking the ingredients in the bottles and had the same OG1040 2 weeks later.
It killed the Yeast. (Cruel Ba$turds).
