I'm not trying to increase gravity a lot, I'm trying to get some additional flavor.

Rookie,
I find plain homebrew cider is boring on its` own.
Try experimenting with Raspberry and Cranberry Juice added to the pint.
Blueberry is nice, Elderflower, Blackcurrant, etc.
WA
Don`t try Kiwi and Lime Juice. It is not very nice, (1st place in a Homebrew Comp)

Just using store bought juice is boring, which is why I added a bunch of actual apples.WalesAles wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 8:49 pmRookie,

I have, in the past, added tart cherries, blackberries, and coconut to store bought juice.
I'm just here for the beer.

I was really happy with the dry unsweetened coconut and tart cherries from the trees in our former front yard. The blackberries was quite a long time ago and I'm generally a lousy note taker so I only remember there were no issues. You should be good to go with just about any fruit that you like eating.
