Hello
Can I make a quick summer mead without having to let it age for too long? I'm thinking of 5 litres with 1kg honey, some yeast nutrient and some Safale T-58 Abbey strain yeast.
Will this work or would be better to make something and wait?
Cheers
David

Re: Quickie
If you want something quick, do a melomel - chuck in at least a 1lb of berries of some sort.
Their flavour will cover the initial harshness of the mead.

Re: Quickie
Good idea! There are excellent cherries around atm, and the mulberry bush's threatening the fruit. I'll get on the case.
Thanks a lot.
