Adnams Southwold Bitter

Post by Aleman » Sat Dec 27, 2008 8:08 pm

Following on from the thread in the snug (Best Quaffing Beer Ever) I have managed to dig out my recipe for Adnams Southwold bitter which has got to be one of the best session beers of all time.

I think this is probably a little light so will up the chocolate to 200g instead of 125, and possibly increase the roast barley to 150 instead of 100.

I'm going to wake up some Adnams yeast I have in the yeast bank for this, and will probably pitch the Durden Park Tally ho! onto the yeast cake . . . So no idea yet of brewing date, but it shouldn't be long

I kicked off Dave Lines version on boxing day.

The main differences are that his dosent use Challenger or chocolate malt.

I'm looking forward to drinking this one
