I did the Festival Mild from Norms recipes thread and it was bang on, over 5% aswell

Looks like a nice recipe for a mild. I want to try and copy this one http://www.redshoot.co.uk/ (Muddy Boot), I wouldn't be supprised if yours wasn't too far off it, may be the Red Shoot one contains a little less sugar.

That looks like really nice place, my recipe is based on one from Mild Ale: History, Brewing, Techniques, Recipes (Classic Beer Style Series, 15) . I used Belgian Candi syrup as may breweries use a no3 dark inverted sugar and this is not available to us.
