Hey Guys,

Gonna brew this up next weekend

Let me know what you thinks, might think of dropping the 5 minute goldings addition prob gonna do a an esb aswell

Looks like a nice beer although it looks pretty hoppy to fall into the Irish Red category. I would leave out the 15 min and 5 min hops and up the Northdown to 40IBUs. Would also leave out the golden syrup purely because I've only ever seen this in cream ale recipes.

For Irish Red, you want the malt and roasted barley to do the talking.

There's my half pennies worth! :wink:

So would you just recommend the bittering hops and drop the taste and aroma?

So I have refined this recipe, still think it needs a hop addtion at about 20 minutes, let me know what you think
