Kev i did my first trail towards this on Tuesday everything went wrong as per my other post but i just used pale malt and a little torrified wheat bittered with challenger 90 mins small amount of challenger with 40 mins to go then a big hit of cascade last 15 mins, the Nottingham has eaten its way through it and i took a trail sample just this minute it smells of citrus lemon and tastes lemony very nice even at this stage, i usually leave it for a full ten days before bottling but i may if i get the time bottle earlier so that i dont risk losing this smell and taste, anyway this would be a good base for you to start from and then add the lemon grass

Hopback do a seasonal pale ale called Thaiphoon with lemongrass and coriander. Its great! Ive been meaning to play with lemongrass in a summer ale, let us know how it goes.
