Amarillo Secret APA

Post by alexlark » Sun Aug 16, 2015 10:13 am

Brewed this at the end of June, got it transferred from the pressure barrel to the sankey keg on Friday. I took inspiration from the Way to Amarillo and wanted to try out the Vic Secret hops, which were very sticky. These two hops go very well together. Turned out a cracking brew, slight bitterness and nice dry aftertaste - leading you back for more :D

At the recent Oregon brewfest I had a beer brewed with riwaka and Victoria secret that was very good. If V S ever shows up in the States I'll get some.
I'm just here for the beer.

I highly recommend it. Being a high AA hop you get your moneys worth.

I done a topaz and vic sec ipa, then dry hopped twice with VS, (about 12g each DH ) the second lot of DH done the trick. I bottled some cos it wouldn't fit in the cornie, so I had some only DH once to compare it . I'm gonna try another brew with VS soon.

It's an excellent hop for dry hopping. I bet a V S SMASH would be just as good.

I can easily believe Amarillo and Vic Secret would pair nicely. Good looking brew there.
