Hi Dave

Be interested how your recipe works out.

Very high % of amber malt (93%).
Malt bill looks like a 3.4% mild ale and then you're adding 40 EBU of Apollo.

Mistake should be Pale Malt not 100% that Maris Otter Grain fits the Beer engine.
EBU 40 I might lower it to 30 what do think?

Looks fine as it is.

If I was picky then I'd probably use some of the Apollo for bittering rather than Cascade.
Adding Cascade at end.

Is your 0 mins addition at flame out or dry hopping?
If at flame-out you'll still get some bittering from the hops so recipe IBU likely to be understated.

I had a couple grams left over from my last cascade brew so I thought I use them for bittering, was a long hot day brewing simmer stat went pop at one point fixed it, took a long time to cool wort down tap water was not that cold.
Got wort down to 30c cold brake proteins showing used 50 ltr water (which went onto flower pots) gave up and used freezer to lower down 18c.
All seems well check fermentation tomorrow morning.

Having just enjoyed my last bottle of a single hopped Apollo ale I would be tempted to leave out the Cascade totally. I'd be amazed if you could pick out any Cascade through the Apollo. Apollo is a mighty hop, it's massive.

I'll definitely be brewing my Apollo as a regular.

Sounds good. I just ordered .45kg of Apollo, Bravo, Cascade, and three others.
