Skylord

Friday I brew my version of the Taylor classic, Landlord. Mine's called Skylord, due to my spirituality. The floor malted Golden Promise will be here Thursday, along with Fuggles, EKG, and Styrians. I am really excited about this, and a video or two is in the pipe. I plan on boiling the shit out of the first 4 liters. I will also add some chocolate malt at sparge time for color. After Skylord comes God Head, again due to my spirituality. This is my rendition of Dark Star's magnificent Hop Head. I'll shoot for a starting gravity of 1.038. I'm going to use Cascade throughout and dry hop with Amarillo. Yeast will be Safale-05 on the Skylord. I think there should be a thread on everyone's attempt at Landlord. I'm curious how everyone makes out.

Reportedly, East Kent Goldings are one of the hops used.

I'll be making my TTL version on Sat, Whorst. I've got the yeast and malt, but need a bit more fuggles, I think. I like your idea of having everyone post their experience and how it turns out. The other night I googled "Timothy Taylor Landlord recipe" and the fourth entry was a link to the thread we had a while back, when I first needed help trying to make a TTL clone. If we all post our experience and method, Jim's BK will be the greatest repository of TTL homebrew knowledge in the universe!

I'm using Golden Promise for the God Head. I plan on using a small amount of light crystal and some carapils. I'll post both final recipes in a few days.
