Planning a massively hopped IPA next weekend...because I can. Do you think I have enough? :lol:

I like hops, but that's ludicrous. There won't be any beer left after they've soaked it up. :lol:

thats over 500g of hops,how much a pint will that work out as :? not very cost effective and not very nice to drink i would imagine

not that expensive really.. about 18 months ago before BB etc..I was paying about 6 quid per 100grams off hop and grape..now you can easily buy 300grams for that price if you shop about

Where did you get those pellets?
I have no idea how it will turn out but I have a very full drawer of hops in the freezer that needs to be had a go at. I may chicken out at the last moment with the amount of steeping hops but I have budgeted for 8L of losses. :lol:

Some of the hops I have brought back with me from the US and some I have been able to get from some microbrewery friends, so not expensive in the scheme of things. I think all of them are available from Charles Faram...

Looks like the sort of beer I'd enjoy!

Be careful with pellets I tended to find that they soaked up quite a bit of wort.

point taken,but that still works out about a tenner on hops and then you got about nine and a half kilos of grain,plus the yeast on a 26l brew length,still got to be expensive
