Loweswater Gold

Loweswater Gold, by the Cumbrian Legendary Ales brewery judged best golden ale in the North West in 2009
This was the star of the show at 2011 Wigan beer festival and sold out very quickly (helped a little by yours truely)

Had a good search around the interweb to get an angle on the ingredients to have a go at cloning but this is the best i can get :(

A true golden ale it is brewed using three malts including lager and Maris Otter together with German hops.
Bursting with tropical flavour it is an outstanding beer.

Anyone got any pointers on hops ?

A bit of googling revealed that this was previously called Kirkstile Gold - see here http://cumbriacamra.org.uk/breweries/in ... 9&Itemid=9 where they mention late hopping with Styrian Goldings.

Its a start.... :?

It seems alot of my personal favourites have late styrians additions in them. It's a hop that in my view should be used with caution, too much n it can be overpowering. Bad for dry hopping tho
