In short no, but I've just picked up some Caragold and am thinking along the lines of a blonde using the cara instead of vienna and hopping with challenger or first gold for bitterness and late hopping with summit which I haven't tried before either, but in for a penny....

When making the blonde how much caragold would you add to the grist and would you add wheat or other malts. I am going to use worcester goldings + citra for late hops. =D>

My instinct is not more than 10% of the grist, carapils can give quite a toffee flavour which in a light mild is lovely so on the assumption caragold will have similar properties I'll go for 5% first time and see how it fares. I'm out of wheat so I'll stick to MO, but I find shredded wheat crisps up the flavour so I'll add half a dozen! I think were thinking along similar lines with the hopping - I think these grapefruity hops are great in a blonde
