Has anyone got any experience with single hop Sorachi Ace brews ? I know Steel City Brewing Company use it a lot and extol its virtues ( cheers Gazza :D )
So Thursday is brew day it was going to be a mild but as i checked the freezer for hops the 100g of Sorachi was staring me in the face and if i'm not mistaken giving me the "come on"
What do you all think of this ?

18 Litre brew length

Lager Malt 3800g
Wheat Malt 100g

Mash 65c 90 mins

Sorachi Ace 5g 90 mins
Sorachi Ace 10g 30 mins
Sorachi Ace 20g 15 mins
Sorachi Ace 30g flame out

This should give OG 1049 FG 1011 and 4.9 % ABV based on 75% efficiency (dropped the efficiency due to all lager malt)
IBU 43 EBC 4
Think its going to be US05 yeast but if i get chance i may nip up to Leyland and get a White Labs liquid (all recomendation welcome )

Cheers Paul
