Northern Brewer and Cascade makes a damn good california common/steam beer. I did an all NB version last year and while it was good.........it took a while to get very good. I'd maybe think of doing one with the NB and the amarilo.

celia are lovely i have made a just pale malt, with just a touch of black malt 10grams for colour. with 100grams of the buggers lovely they are!
