I have a nice big repitch of WLP800 Urquell Yeast to use next weekend when I transfer my lager. The trouble is I don't have any Lager Malt or Saaz to brew another lager!
What could I use it for? I have plenty of Maris and loads of American Hops. But no chance of getting the missus to agree to more ingrediants purchases!
I was thinking about doing a vague Anchor Steam clone with MO and Northern Brewer?

Or what would a basic "lager"'ish style beer taste like with just MO and Northern Brewer? Would it be ok enough for summer quaffing by my commercial lager loving mates? They loved my last Pilsner, but that was Saaz and Pils malt, but i doubt they would spot any real difference.
Dam my lack of Lager Malt and Noble Hops!

So, what'd you end up doing? How did it come out?
If you ended up doing something like you proposed, I'll bet you got a nice alt or Oktoberfest/Märzen type brew.
