Usually when I try a new hop for the first time, I single hop it (or use a small bittering addition of another variety). Any reason I shouldn't do this with Ahtanum too? Was thinking along the lines of:
Seahawk
Custom Pale Ale

Looks pretty good. If I recall, not too dissimilar to Stone Pale...
Not sure about the exact grain bill, but looks pretty solid. Maybe decrease the munich a little?

Conditioning - Meads - Raspberry Melomel yeast test, Vanilla Cinnamon Metheglyn, Orange Melomel.
Drinking - Youngs AAA Kit; Leatherwood Traditional Mead, Cyser, Ginger Metheglyn.
Planning - Some kits until I can get back to AG, then a hoppy porter, Jim's ESB, some American Red.

Do you think this'll be over-malty?Cpt.Frederickson wrote:Looks pretty good. If I recall, not too dissimilar to Stone Pale...

I'd personally try to reduce to make sure the hop flavours are dominant. Perhaps cut back to 10% or less. I'd also consider keeping the mash temp to around 65 to keep it dry. Maybe up the crystal a touch to compensate.
