Korev

Post by Midlife » Wed Oct 29, 2014 9:58 pm

I am planning a Korev (type) Lager recipe for my next AG. I would appreciate some advice on quantities for the caragold malt and flaked maize... my planned grain list is as follows;

Lager Malt 3kg
Wheat Malt 100g (head)
Acid Malt 100g
Caragold ?
Flaked Maize ?

Cheers

I don't know for sure, but building upon what you've got, I'd recommend starting with something like:

81.5% = 3kg, Lager Malt
2.7% = 100g, Wheat Malt
2.7% = 100g, Aciduated Malt
5% = 184g, CaraGold Malt
10% = 368g, Flaked Maize

Best of luck.

Thanks for the reply, made it yesturday.... Efficiency was good, smells really nice and the colour is good. I used a wlp800 yeast, might be lucky to have a taster over Christmas.

I’m new to all grain brewing and would be interested in finding a full recipe with instructions for Korev. Can anyone help?
