Aurora (aka super Styrian)
Aurora (aka super Styrian)
This is one for the hop experts/geeks! I have a recipe which calls for Styrian Goldings, but I have only been able to acquire Aurora. Its a different species although also from Slovenia with significantly higher aa (9% as compared to about 2-4% for standard Styrian). What do folks think about substituting? Obviously I would allow for higher aa and use less but would this change the flavour profile radically? Any thoughts appreciated.
