Hi newbie here looking for a recipe for Marstons Merry Monk Mild.

It was discontinued a while ago so going to try and make my own.

thats nothing to do with Marstons Merry Monk,a totally different type of beer

You might have a point there, the names the same but it's not Marston's. Ignore me.

there were rumours in the 70s that Merry Monk was Pedigree with caramel to darken it.Not sure if that was true though
I thought there may have been something in my old copy of brewers almanac but it must have been discontinued before the Almanac was printed as it is not shown
