Mine started at 1061 and ended at 1016 so about 5.5 abv but I only brewed to 32 litres so brewed short to make it stronger

Just cracked one of mine open this evening, just carbed and chilled off for a week.. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, luvly. I will be doing another of these for sure.
Nice head of mid brown lasted right down to last drop. Nice dark stout. Tasted somewhat like bottled Guiness but not as bitter as i remember.

1 can Wilko velvet stout
500 grms beer enhancer
500 grms dk spray malt
8 grms goldings hops steeped 15 mins and added to mix
Approx 1/4 tin black teacle
100 grm demerera sugar
brewed short to 19litres
A tea bag of willamette hops added 5 days before rackinh
Batch primed.
This should be even better for storage \:D/ \:D/

After initial tastes which were quite good and having had a few since, cracked another open today. Much improved, mellowed, slight hint of coffee/chocolate and the slight kit twang almost non existant now. :D
Will try and hang on to a few and see how they improve over more time
