Found a decent CO2 supplier in Sheffield...£36.74 Deposit & £14.40 for the Gas, ( 6.35KG Pub Tank ) which I thought was reasonable
That's cheaper than I've heard some folk being quoted. I know that CO2 cylinders last us homebrewing lot quite a long time, (unless you have a leak), but you could simply approach a friendly pub and get it for about £8, no deposit. I get cylinders from 3 different pubs and they are fine about me having them as long as they come back when they're empty. Shy bairns get nowt etc....

Pretty good idea that, but I don't really use any of my local pubs, so to turn up and ask may get a curt reply ! lol...
My sister used to run a pub, until January this year...wish I had got into this before she left as could have got all sorts !!

Edit to my last post...

DonGas ( In Doncaster !! ) will do a 6.35 KG CO2 Cylinder FULL for £35+vat ( £42 ) and then refils are £10+vat ( £12 )

so not too bad and a tad cheaper than Sheffield Gas & Hire...

Also got my 2 Cornies & Tap + Reg from Norm today !...YAY !...

Just need to get the gas...and then fill the Cornies !

Finnaly, my father in law is doing some work for a fella who has just bought two pubs and he's not going to be trading as a pub, he's either
knocking down and building or selling the land so there may well be a glut of cheap equipment coming, kegs, cylinders etc...
I have already staked a claim, to get as much as I can and will see how much he wants for it, then will offer it up here on a collection from Barnsley basis...

Hopefully, he won't want much for the kit...

Watch this space fellas !

Wolfy
strange use for the erlenmeyer flask

Only have the 2 Cornies and 1 Jolly and a raft of king Kegs but will be getting a few more Jollys now I have seen how the lid shuts tight, and they will fit in my newly acquired Cooled Incubator with built in PID.

Five, and it's staying at five. I have not the ability to drink enough beer to warrant anymore!
