Can I ask how people who have plastic pin casks how they are cooling them
.Mine wont fit in my brew fridge laid down like a proper cask.I could get one in if stood up with a cask widge setup, but I have 3 and am considering building a cupboard and using the compressor and cooling from my fridge in that.I dont want to go ahead if there is a better way.
thanks

Re: cooling pin casks
Ive considered the extended fridge cupboard for fermenting, and i think a few members have build some successful ones. the tricky bit is the fridge cupboard seal i think.. i toyed with the idea of sitting the cupboard by the side of the fridge with 2 x 4" holes in the fridge and cupboard sides joined with an inline fan and 4" tubing to recirculate the cool air between the 2..
ist update for months n months..
Fermnting: not a lot..
Conditioning: nowt
Maturing: Challenger smash, and a kit lager
Drinking: dry one minikeg left in the store
Coming Soon Lots planned for the near future nowt for the immediate

I had the same problem but my mates father came to the rescue the suggestion that I fit a beer cooler and a barrel jacket that cold water can travel around in a large insulated box it works well all items came from A1 Barstuff

Re: cooling pin casks
I think re-usable poly pins are the answer I was looking at cask pins but could not find a fridge large enough but also being compact so as not to take up much room behind the bar to hold three. I looked at bottle fridges but as soon as I saw the poly pin I thought that this was the answer being only 300mm cube I think it will solve the problem of finding a fridge easier to hold a minimum of three.

Polypins are great . . but be warned that in the initial stages the do take a lot of looking after to vent any excess gas, otherwise you risk rupture . . . if you can do this (and the problem may well be less in a temp controlled environment) then they really do a very good job.
