Prices have gone up since I bought mine . . . I got them for 35 quid each . . .but that was 15 years ago :D

Good company to deal with as well. I must get back to them and see if they have any 14Gallon vertical casks :k

what size was it for £70?
I fancy a 10 Gallon or bigger to make a boiler out of.

I also enquired recently about their 50 litre stainless kegs. Liam hasnt got back to me yet so will be interesting to see if I get the same quote!

Price was £65 for a fully reconditioned keg only a few months ago, got mine for £40 each a few years ago, dented and with the spears removed

Just been quoted £70 same as you for a 50 litre keg - plus own delivery/collection.

I wont be pursuing it.

Glad I found this thread - its saved me wasting an e-mail !" :-|

If they're charging that price (still) then they're asking the same price for a used, dented keg as you can buy a BRAND NEW 10 gallon keg from Crusader.

Shame - I fancied a keg boiler.

Go crusader. Unless you're buying a big old keg it just aint worth it. I bought 2* 100L kegs and it came to the best part of £250. They're not very realistic in their pricing, or they just don't want to sell kegs either way now Crusader are fully up n going I probably wouldn't bother with them again as its just money for old rope.

They might just be uninterested in low volume sales.

TBH, the crusader route isn't really that much different to what the usual suppliers are looking for with a stock pot - just have to specify it without a spear (or even the top plate if they'd do that for me)

Just getting over the inbuilt inhibition to "wreck" a brand new keg....
