Malt Mill Advice

Post by jimp2003 » Sun Oct 13, 2013 2:26 pm

I currently use a budget corona style mill for crushing my grains and would like to upgrade to a roller type mill.

Has anyone used one of THESE mills? It is a lot cheaper than some of the branded mills.

Cheers!

Jim

Looks great...adjustable rollers and you can connect a drill to run it...saved into my bookmarks for when I have the spare change!

Well I bit the bullet and went for one of these mills from The Homebrew Shop and even managed to get 25% off as they had one that had recently been returned by a customer who did not get on with it, :D

I will try to post a review once I have put it together and have run a batch through this weekend.

I was going to say that it looks like a Chinese knock of of a Barley Crusher . . .and about the same price that I paid for my Original Barley Crusher ;)

just pulled the trigger on one of the same from usa as the postage cost was considerably more from uk to greece than usa to greece.
It would seem from the extensive thread on an american site that it is indeed a chinese copy of barley crusher ,there was some issue with the early ones and some design changes were made. The overall view since then seems to be thay are excellent value for money
