I've bought an adapter from http://www.co2supermarket.co.uk/ which converts it to a normal fitting but haven't got round to testing it yet... I can't see why it won't work though.

This would be my preference. I bought one of the CO2 supermarket jobbies, and they are milled from alumunium and hence quite soft. I stripped the threads on it :( Expensive mistake

Hi, i realise that this is an old thread, but i thought i should add my thoughts, should anybody else be considering the same solution. I came across this thread whilst i was looking at co2supermarket.co.uk as a solution for beer and made the mistake of purchasing one of these - the product is OK, but not well suited for carbonating beer (in my opinion), it is marketed for aquariums.

It turns out that the the solenoid regulator from co2supermarket only provides a fixed psi output ~50 psi, thus you cannot set your desired pressure - some cornelius kegs have a safe working pressure of ~45 psi, so this is a bit risky. So if you do go down this path, you would have to bleed the excess Co2 off to your desired psi, and you will need a separate gauge to check the pressure, since the co2supermarket.co.uk regulator will not give you the keg pressure. Further, you may have some bother attaching the regulator co2 line to your keg without appropriate fittings.

There are now Co2 regulators suitable for the UK new sodastreams cylinders, that you'll be able to find with some searching.
