I've been using in the past a 2kg CO2 cannister bought from Norm and a regulator. As the 2kg has ran out and I can refil it, i've bought a 6.3kg bottle from yorkshire CO2 gas.
Now I'm having issues getting the regulator to fit. Somethings not quite right. THe regulator fits perfectly on my 2kg bottle but I cant get it to go onto my 6.3kg keg. They look the same size fittings. Could it be that one is slightly smaller than the other?
I was using a monkey wrench to get the regulator on the larger bottle and got it as tight as I dare, but the regulator is still loose on the bottle.
Help please.
Issues with CO2 cannister and Regulator
Re: Issues with CO2 cannister and Regulator
I've been told the issue could be that there are two types of regulator that are between 21mm and 22mm, sounds similar to my issue.
Hopefully I will be able to by an adapter to get it to fit.

https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... 9260,d.cWc
is the best info ive found on co2 bottles and connectors
i did also find when looking for my co2 supply lots of garages with welders who would be happy to refill my hobby bottle, and i also had a chat with a BOC bloke who revealed co2 is co2 its all the same from the same source, just packaged differently for different markets..
in the end i got a deposit free liquide-air bottle so no probs..

Re: Issues with CO2 cannister and Regulator
I suspect you need to replace the crush washer which is usually deemed to be a one time component. If you attempted to reuse the old one it will not be able to take up any variation as it's already crushed especially if you were heavy handed with the 2Kg bottle fitting.
