my solar pump fell to bits today and left me in the lurch, i'm buggered if i'm buying another of the horrible things, can anyone recommend something better (that's actually available in the UK)? must be able to take high temps / recirculate boiling wort.

You can get mini mag pumps pretty cheaply now: http://www.angelhomebrew.co.uk/en/pumps ... ype-1.html

LeeH has been using them on his recent build and recommended them to me
Adam

Fermenting: AG#15 - Dubbel - Oh, Seven?
Conditioning: AG#14 - Pale Ale 3 (Challenger & Mt. Hood)
Drinking: Out! :(
Up Next: Oatmeal Stout, Hefe
Year To Date: 165 pints | Total: 775 pints

My Setup: Electric BIAB with a Dual Purpose Heat Exchange / Cooler

Hi l'm in same situation see post under grain brewing not been on here or a few years forgot had this section. Anyway I'm also fed up with not having success with then12v solar type pumps I'm not sure whether its a 12v thing and whether be better with a 240v. My ideal would be the march 815 but didn't want spend more than £100 I've Been given a link to a totton type flowjet for £85 again see my other post, but only rated to 85 degrees c. Looking at those meg drive off above link type 2 looks OK 17 l/pm with 3m head 3amp current and 40 w power not sure how that compares to solar pump the flow jet and the march but at half the cost is it worth it? Hmm food for thought is a 240v better than 12v if no difference in flow rate and head would there be more umph or not?

I have a march may I was selling for 80 quid. its 809 though.

Only so I could use mag pumps however, so I would go for those!
