Portable induction and brewtech pots

Post by beerlover1983 » Tue Jan 06, 2015 7:59 pm

Right i have a 10 gallon brewtech pot fromthe malt miller.I was looking into portable induction hobs and got a 3000kw buffalo induction hob .but im concerned about the weight of pot and then contents on surface of the induction plate.

I phoned the supplier today who said they couldnt even say what the weight limit was on the plate but once had a chef ask about big stock pots who they advised againts as the glass top could crack.

I would rather not crack it and ruin it But it does seem like a good solution for me and biab beers.Just really concerned about pot weight.

Has anyone else used these ?

Do a bit of DIY engineering and make a prop up stand to reach up to the pot handles and so take the weight off the hob.
