Differences between STC 1000's on Ebay and Amazon

Post by gobuchul » Mon Mar 09, 2015 3:07 pm

Looking on Ebay and Amazon and there are loads of STC 1000's.

Some are branded as "Lerway" and "Elitech"and seem to cost a few pounds more than some others.

Are there any physical or quality differences between the various ones or do they come from the same factory?

There are several types of Stc1000's, the standard is 2 relay o/p @10A, others have one relay/two relay @5A/30A contacts.
But there are loads of factories churning them out.
If you aren't bothered about hacking it then go for the cheapest standard one @220V.

The STC-1000 will always be two output and usually 10a relays. There are other temp controllers though with one output with other relays.
You will find that these are commodity items from China which may state Lerway or Elitech but you're never guaranteed to get that brand :D
The hackable v1.0 are like hens teeth now.

Is it definitely an STC-1000 or another type on controller?
I suppose the Chinese factories churning these out can call their stuff whatever they like.
