moving to OZ

Well, what can I say - i have some catching up to do....

So I have now bought the right kegs, and have been talking to a homebrew shop in oz about valves / fittings & regulators (http://www.cheekypeakbrewery.com.au/)
It also appears the the CO2 bottles have different threads as well, so as I was planning to use a regulator that screws direct to the bottle not much point buying it in the UK!
If anyone is interested I also found a comparison chart for the different thread forms in different countries.

So I have 5 kegs of beer to get through by August
2 wheat beers
1 speckled hen clone
1 tanglefoot clone
1 entitled "what's left" - just threw all the grains i had into the mash tun (i did weigh them first just out of curiosity), and see what happens! tried a sip last night and its not bad but needs a couple more weeks.

You can get this http://www.boc.com.au/shop/en/au-boc-in ... 621-p-112# to fit other regs or just purchase the nut. However it would probably be better to purchase a reg once you get here. Just make sure that you purchase a decent quality reg, or you will regret it. Cigweld, Micromatic(which I have several of) or Harris would be OK. There are other specialist suppliers for beverage dispensing, but they tend to be expensive.

Whereabouts will you be located? I'm in Adelaide.

Thanks for the link - I think I will wait until I arrive to get the regulator, that adaptor looks a bit on the expensive side for what it is!

We are starting in Melbourne but who knows where we will end up - depends on what job I find.

I am looking forward to brewing in a different climate - but will have to wait 8-12 weeks for the gear to arrive - guess i will have to buy beer, havent had to do that for a long time!

google "team onslaught co2 info" the first link should be to a paintballers resource which details all the co2 bottles internationally and how to transfer from one to another as its something they do quite a bit for their guns..
