I have seen that people insulate the boiler so it heats/retains heat better. I have a camping mat that I plan to wrap around the outside and cut holes for the tap etc, but I have seen someone that has insulated the lid with polystyrene (?) but I can't remember which forum I saw it on.
I could use the polystyrene that came in the packaging (assuming it is suitable) but what can be used to attach it to the underside of the lid, or is it cut so it fits in the lip of the lid without being 'glued'.
Next payday I will be replacing the tap and adding a hop filter, will be getting a mash on tomorrow evening and boiling on Thursday all being well

I have the one that has the numbers on the dial and not the temp, does anyone know what temp the numbers relate to?
