Kegerator Build Almost Complete....

Thought I'd post a couple of pics of a kegorator build I've nearly completed...really pleased with the result so far!

Commercial Fridge - £130
Tower and Taps - £90
Castor wheels (yet to arrive) £17
Other bits - £15

I am undecided whether to mount the regs on the back or inside the fridge, but no need to worry too much until BBQ season when I intend to wheel it out when friends come over....actually not sure that'll be such a good plan thinking about it, not sure 38 Ltrs will last long!

Just need to put some caster wheels on and give the stainless a polish!

This is my next project too, after the kitchen, so a fortnight away.

Currently I have 2 hand pumps with a reg and two cornies - a traditional bar setup. This uses a beer check valve behind each beer engine to stop the co2 pressure pushing dripping beer out the pumps. Do you need anything like this for the tower taps or do the towers have a check valve?

Thanks BM, don't think a check valve is necessary, I've just got the beer lines connected straight from the cornies to the beer tower using JG fittings....no leaks or drips so far!

Amazing, very envious. How do you go about making a hole in the fridge for the pump?

I was going to do the trick with alcohol and cornflower paste to check for cooling lines, but after looking at the construction of the fridge, I just took a HUGE breath and carefully drilled a small pilot hole through the first skin from the inside!!! Once through I poked a screw driver around to check for any cooling lines. Fortunately I didn't find any, so drilled all the way through and gradually opened the hole to 12mm to accommodate one of the beer lines.....then repeated the process for the second line!

I have seen people use hole saws to get a larger opening, but I didn't have one suitable for use with stainless!
