Pretty much - it's not too hard. You need to boil the wort to sterilise it and then cool it. Cleanliness is the main issue as there may be very little yeast in a commercial bottle and it can take a while to get going (so you must ensure nothing else is competing with it). After a great deal of agonising I have bought a pub cylinder at £80 + VAT (full 6kg), an regualtor <£30, a Midget Widget connector for S30 at £14, and additional tubing. This means I can apply CO2 at will for a fraction of the cost of either Sodastream gas, or more importantly, the silly little Sparklets bulbs. All I need to do now is live long enough to reap the outlay in gas savings! My Dr says stop drinking.......
