Screwfix Immersion Element - Back Nut Size

Hey folks...

I'm slightly confused. I've just purchased this element from Screwfix: http://www.screwfix.com/p/immersion-hea ... t-11/89280 and was under the impression I'd need a 2 1/4" backnut/flange to install into my HLT as this seems to be the standard size. However, I've measured it and it looks like i'd need a 2 1/2" nut... Am I being really stupid and missing something here?

It's the daft way BSP is defined.

2 1/4 BSP measures a tad over 2.5 inches on the outside thread. So, yes, it's fine and that backnut will fit.

I know, because I was confused by it too....
