I have seen those but by the time you add that, sort out a chilled water source, you're looking at conical money.

Looks great!

What are the dimensions of the fermenter?

I ask because I am in the process of righting up a 45cm fridge as a brew fridge and wonder if these would fit...
I don't see dimensions on either the malt mile or the us sites...
*edit * found the dimensions and ordered one!!

Will post on my findings!

:D
Cheers

What do these thing bring to the table over the ten bob fermenters? Apart from being all dolled up for a night down town.

Reviving this thread - anyone had a good solution to fitting the Brew Bucket into a under-counter fridge with enough headroom for an airlock?

I used a blow off pipe so minimal space needed.

Or maybe

The new sterilock airlock thats out ?

I just use a blow off. Seals well in the little rubber stopper provided. I don't see any reason to use an airlock instead.

Thinking about getting one of these.... can anyone tell me what the max working diameter is... I've seen the values on the website but does that include the lid/clasps ? My wine fridge is 34 x 36 cm internally. Would it fit ? Cheers

I wouldn't bother with an airlock inside a fridge. It's protected from airborne stuff and crawling creatures by virtue of being inside a fridge. Perhaps if lagering for weeks but not for ale ferments.

Made that SOB fit tonight - butchered a folding stool as a stand, by cutting the legs down. Then had to trim the door to help it close, but got there in the end!

Cheers Fil, yep, there's nothing like a simple job getting a wee bit more complicated!
I think I'll tape over the exposed insulation foam on the door, just to make it less porous.

might be worth looking at car body repair fibreglass to seal in the insulation foam?

ive seen posts/pics of cellotex insulation boxes and freezers without drains where moisture has gotten into rigid foam insulation and gone manky, best to avoid if possible. can i find a relevant link now tho .. :)

I tapped up the hole and put couple of pin pricks in the tape.

All was good.
