I thought I would share my day with you
I am so excited as my brutus 2.0e is alive
I have built and rebuilt my brewery and finaly decided to try a brutus style brewery with rims and have called it brutus 2.0e. The rims is mounted horizontally and worked a treat. The pumps are from homebrewbuilder and again we excelent - the were continually pumping the whole time and did not miss a beat. I was really impressed with the plate chiller to it cooled from boiling to pitching temp in 25 mins - absolutely brilliant.
I have posted pictures before but I changed it again and this my final design !
Today was my first brew ever on it and I done a reboot ipa from the malt miller - I am so chuffed with the result as expected 1.032 and achieved 1.041 og
I think this will probably stop to give me and IPA of about 5% abv
Everything went smoothly and for start to finish including a stop for lunch before cleaning up took 7 hours - I did have to do some tightning up of fittings etc so I hope that I will get this down to 6 hours in the future.
Anyway she is all tucked up in my fridge at about 19 degrees and I am awaiting the taste test in about 4 weeks
Here are some pictures of my day
