100l set up??

Post by Jim Blockley » Tue Jul 07, 2015 12:58 pm

Hi, I'm looking to get bigger, better kit. Is anyone thinking of getting rid of any of the necessary stainless pots or even a complete set up? Preferably 100l...

I've got 2*100L kegs which have been used as fermenters, fully draining, with triclamp seals and blanks.

Selling a full kit as well (when I get round to it) but its 60L (70L absolute max) into the FV so might be a bit small for what you're after. Message me though if youre interested.

I have a spare 98l stockpot boiler fitted with 1 x 3kw SS brewing element and 1 x 2.4kw SS brewing element plumbed up with 100% SS fittings for temp probe/thermowell and valved recirc return for hlt recirculation or boil recirculation for whirlpooling or hop spider infusion.
I built 2 x identicle hlt/boil kettles and only use the one in the new brewery having opted for 2 x vessels not 3 x..

Great, thanks.. Really I'm looKing for at least a mash tun too, but I'll definitely bear this in mind if you don't shift it soon.

Its not advertised yet so you should be ok, i keep meaning to sort out things and list em for sale as ive all but finished with the brewshed refit i have a grainfarther for small 10-23l brews, and the 2 vessel system for 30+l brews and can use the g/f main pot as a hlt for sparge liqour for the smaller brews, and collect the mash and sparge runnings in jerrycans for the larger brews ;)

for a diy coldbox tun check out the coleman extreme range Vgood insulation (they boast the range can keep ice for a week?) and comes with a large drain hole fitted for easy drain solutions.

You need to change your privacy settings Jim I can't PM you back either.

My kits 3x insulated thermopots, a 50L, a 70L and an 80L. HLT has a single 3kw element, boiler has 2 x 3kw elements, mash tun has a false bottom. everything has 2 or 3 part valves.

Got 2 x 100L kegs as FV's and 2 conicals but I might hang on to one of them as it still sees use.

Thanks for the tip, settings changed. That's going to be a bit small for me, but thanks anyway.
