Burco Boiler?

Post by DC » Mon Jul 20, 2015 12:28 pm

Hey guys, Ive just acquired a Burco Boiler which I want to use as an HLT (as its shiny) and was wondering do I need to bother removing the auto cut out or the thing that stops it boiling constantly if I am just using it to heat my strike water? Normally my strike water gets up to about 87C. Just I don’t want to mess with it if I don’t need to

Cheers DC

Should be fine. The auto cut out is only an issue during the boil, when wort starts to get scorched on the element cover, and insulating it
