broken urn
broken urn
The water boiler at work started leaking so they've replaced it, just wondering whether i should grab any of electrical bits from inside it if they could come in useful for my biab build, any idea?
Re: broken urn
Grab the whole thing? I would anyway, that way you don't feel rushed to grab any bits, how big is it? Could you not try repairing the leak and just use the whole thing?
Re: broken urn
Yea just asked if I can take it, I'm hoping it's just a leaky tap, if so, that's my hlt sorted.
It's only a 20 litre one but that should be ideal for heating my sparge water

Re: broken urn
Sweet, it's just a very slow leak around the tap, I won't mention to them that it just needs tightening up a bit. Got myself a free hlt

Hope the boss isn't into home brewing........
Re: broken urn
Nah he scraps off so much stuff that's fixable, half of my little projects at home start life in the scrap bin at work

Re: broken urn
lot of the time its cheaper for companys to replace stuff than carry out a simple repair, once you factor in the time to do the repair, the pat test, the paper trail to prove the item is still food safe etc etc
Warning: The Dutch Coffeeshops products may contain drugs. Drinks containing caffeine should be used with care and moderation
Re: broken urn
Yea that's what he says, sending me on a pat test course next month so that should come in handy for a couple of my projects
Re: broken urn
If its a burco type urn, I replaced my plastic burco tape with a brass tap connector and a short length of copper tube and a ball valve, made it much easer to use. the 15mm copper is easy for me to put hoses onto for transfuring liquids around
