Brew fridge
Brew fridge
Hi all, not posted for a while. Just brewed courage directors and Tim Taylor, both (BIAB). just put Courage (secondary ferm) in my new brew temp control fridge to cold crash (not done before) added Gelatine intend leaving 2 / 3 days at approx. 1c before I corny 19, bottle rest. Anyway quick questions ? Have read that I should watch for suck back in air lock as temp drops is this right? and what`s the answer? should I remove air lock and maybe put some cling film over cap (lid) with small pin prick in? Anyone have any advice please, Thanks.

Re: Brew fridge
Replace the airlock with a blow off tube.
The blow off tube stores more air and can resist contraction better.

Re: Brew fridge
Thank you, Got starsan in air lock and have left bung loose in cap so far all ok. But blow off tube sounds good. Cheers for replys........ shall continue reading as now wondering if I should have dry hopped first. Or not? Was gona dry hop in corny but don't want to make my beer cloudy. May leave the hops in this one and next brew dry hop, then cold crash. That must be the right way? 1st time iv`e cold crashed a beer.
Any advice appreciated.
