Intertap

Hi Brewers
I have discovered a new faucet design that is apparently superior to perlicks forward seal called 'Intertap' has anyone heard of it? Or used them? Any good?

Looks like you can change the nozzles to suit stout, growler filling etc

I also spied these on the Malt Miller and am thinking of getting a pair when I get round to building my keezer (in a few weeks, I hope). Keen to hear any opinions on them because I couldn't find a lot about them online.
Plan B is to get a couple of Perlicks sent to my Dad whilst he in the US in a month or so, but at the current exchange rate there aren't really big savings to be had.

There is a lot online if you search. Look on aussiehomebrew forum, as well as homebrew talk. They get some great reviews; similar to Vent-matic, by all accounts. If these were available last year, I would have bought them instead of the taps I got from Candirect.

If I buy any more expensive taps and shanks, I would make sure seal/service kits are readily available. I have 2 ENODIS SK130-021 taps, many on here bought of Norman way back. These taps require regular strip cleaning to get gunk out that is not removed when line cleaning, as a result the seals are now getting frayed and tired especially the 2 flow control o-rings.

Can't find who manufactured the ENODIS SK130-021 tap, must be a popular tap. I've tried to source a seal kits or food safe seals/o-rings without any luck, won't be long before my 2 perfectly good taps become useless.

Cheers - read a few threads on them, overall impression is certainly very positive. Think I might have to pull the lever on a couple! (no pun intended :) )

I had 2 flow control taps but I have now replaced them with the inter tap, this is the reason:

The intertap's are forward sealing and do not gunk up. As with all non flow control taps you may well need an in line flow controller (or some 3/16" line) depending on the carbonation of your beer.

Hi joe1002, did you have ENODIS SK130-021 taps? Did you have to buy both Intertap taps and shanks?

Yes, well I had one Enodis SK130-021 and one Chinese copy.

The shanks for the intertap are slightly different to the Enodis therefore you need to buy the shank too. The Intertap's don't come with handles but that didn't bother me as I have some of those tall American ones anyhow.
