I'm going to post a video of a test I just did of the refractometer output as the water was heated from 17C to a bit before 70C (before the Pi crashed, due to being too close to the refractometer I think, doh!)
The idea being I'm going to convert the image from the refractometer to a digital brix, so that I can see if the brix drops below 1.010SG during sparging.
I'm trying to at the moment generate a calibration curve for water up to 70C.
I'm going to redesign it too, using SS fittings, to mitigate some slight leaks heh.

It's a great idea I'm really impressed. I can see real world applications for commercial brewery as well for consistant brews.

Hey, you can get proper inline refractometers, it's just they're really expensive as far as I'm aware, around 8k USD from what I read recently.
I'm just waiting for some triclamp fittings from China, to make a better version that hopefully doesn't have the uneven light distribution you can see in the video, which caused me problems when trying to process the images.

8Kusd vs £100+ not including your valuable time and skill what would a start up brewery be able to afford.
