when you want to bend copper tubing you can buy a bending spring. basically a spring approx 12-18 inchs long which you insert into the pipe before you bend it to stop it kinking, after the bend you pull the spring out. you can also get a spring which you insert the pipe into - an external spring

around the £3 area where as a proper plumbers pipe bender starts around £30 - £40 or around £14 for a microbore bender
