The company has posted in the Home Brew Suppliers section so I guess they are keen to sell to the UK. Might be worth looking for a JBK discount?

Re: Polish conical fermenters
I like the look of these, I have just measured my fermentation fridge - it would fit with stand if the compressor lump wasn't there !
does anyone have any ideas how to get it in a tall fridge ( I could cut the stand & weld it so it accommodates the compressor lump ?)

Re: Polish conical fermenters
Probably your best bet, got some pics of your fridge?

Re: Polish conical fermenters
if no cooling tubes are running thru the fridge roof, you could cut a circle and have the conical top sticking out the top of the fridge, a few cut up camping mats tapped up or a block of cellotex could make an add to top insulation pack..

I tried to contact them, however it seems impossible to communicate, very slow replies, and their english is pretty bad.Kyle_T wrote:Did anyone pick one of these up yet?
Re: Polish conical fermenters
I'm still considering what to do, but I am leaning towards the SS conicals that Rob has started stocking.
Granted they are a much reduced volume, but I think that's where I'm heading really......I think I would like to go back to brewing smaller lengths, but more often and with a bit more variety on the styles I brew.

I got a PM reply within a few hours... English wasn't great but far from incomprehensible. Might be an option, at least it will give them a heads up that whoever is contacting them probably doesn't speak Polish!

Re: Polish conical fermenters
A few people have used the plastic conicals, these are a new make but for the price I'd have a go. Lots of people swore by stainless conicals but the latest fruits show that unless you're buying from a 1 man band specifically, they're just as likely to be no good.. I've got 2, both with defects, doesn't affect the beer though so far as I can tell.
The thing with these plastic conicals that you need to remember is that plastic transfers heat poorly. Using a fridge to cool 60L of wort in a plastic FV is probably a no go, I tried it with my stainless one and found the fridge working very hard to achieve not very much. Cooling coils on the other hand were much better.
As for Robs brew buckets, if you want an FV that size then you really can't go wrong for the money. I tested one and conducted every test I could think of on it without damaging it and it performs really well, above and beyond what the manufacturer claims. I'd buy one myself if I ever downsize to 20L, vastly superior to other types of FV and in my eyes, better than a conical unless you specifically want to capture and reuse yeast regularly.

I have one from Rob, and it's great. But why didn't they make it a little taller and fit a valve on the bottom of the cone?darkonnis wrote:A few people have used the plastic conicals, these are a new make but for the price I'd have a go. I guess so you can stack them and fit them in a fridge. There's someone in the pipeline who is making just what you're after. Not sure when he's in full production but they look pretty promising. Budget 30L Conicals
