Only for OG readings, and run off gravity readings through the sparge. Once you have alcohol in the mix i.e fermentation then you need top use a set of calculations to determine the gravity from the Brix reading. Plus for a few beers you need to use the hydrometer and refractometer in partnership to measure the OG to determine a fudge factor although the default of 1.04 seems to work in a lot of cases.

Noooo. ..Aleman you've just sunk my world...I read reviews on forums did the research and still ordered the wrong one :oops: this looks like it's heading to wish I hadn't bothered. ..
