Thought the diameter looked big. I'm going for a 50L with 2 of those elements. I'm just stuck on hop filters and hop spiders at the moment! It will be BIAB. Upgrading from my 33L with no tap or anything fancy, just use a copper IC, I use the hob which is a bit weak. I also want portability to brew outside.

Do you bring to the boil with 2 and then run with 1 element? or keep the 2 going throughout? What final volume do you aim for with a 70L pot?

I use both all the way, I like a good hot break and good hop utilisation and aim for exceptional clarity. It means my losses are higher than most so on a 25l brew length I collect 30 +.
