As you know I originally opted for the single chugger pump, I even plumbed everything in ready for testing but as I needed the chugger on the large set up I opted for the 2 pump system. No reason why a single pump could not be used but would plumb it in with 2 inlets & 2 outlets to negate unbalance.

Interesting. Not seen that store, price works out as £73 for the short pipe but no idea what other parts would be.

Postage not hugely expensive to UK, so I have asked them to quote.

Over 100 euros for the filter plates from that place - ouch! Got my invoice through from Vigo so them calling to pay up tomorrow.

Looks like the Brauduino shipping on AHB is getting close Barneey. You must be excited! I have decided to go with Open ArdBir in whatever flavour is available once the hardware side of my build is done and tested. Hopefully they will have a touchscreen wifi enabled kit by then.

A very large box of German goodies has landed on my desk from Vigo. Shame that I can't take a peek but Im now in London for a couple of days.

When I get back to Devon the first thing I am doing is checking if the malt tube fits in the thermopot. Anxious wait!

OK missing parts on their way from Vigo. It fits and looks like a feasible idea =D>

So I think its time I stopped hijacking this thread and start one for my own build! I may be back to ask questions though and it would be great to hear from Barneey how things are going with yours.

I had been enforcing my self imposed curfew on this thread!

Also just collecting parts bit by bit. Have been so busy with work lately that I suspect it might be the Christmas when I finally try and bolt it all together.

Barneey might have some updates soon though... Lael shipped the Brauduino boxes from AHB forum which I gather was the missing part for him. I am probably still going the ArdBir kit route to save money but I am holding off until the last moment hoping that the new and/or wireless model in the pipeline is released.

The Aussie's have had their kits shipped a couple of week back, the international orders still are awaiting shipment, with the Xmas post just around the corner.........

Other updates, I own a BrewPi Spring which I was going to use for the build, unfortuately the 2nd hand main pot had a hole cut out for a tap, this was slightly too high. the solution.

1) Either cap off the existing hole and make a new one.
2) Use something else.

I went for the second option and bought a spring from the Italian suppliers + one of thir offsets to use the existing hole. = the offset wasnt what I wanted and the item a little too long to fit in the BM. Solution cut it down in size & increase off set, you can see the join but it works spring is now clear of the malt tube and elements.

You mean one of the Lauterhexe things? I would love to see a photo/review of that once set up as I am planning to use one too. My concern was not having enough space on the floor of the pot for the element and Lauterhexe meaning one would need to be above the other - not ideal.

Intrigued to see how you have them arranged.

That is a bit crap about the Brauduino. Why haven't they shipped yet!!? Makes no difference that you are abroad surely...
