think u might have a long job inching it on after a meter or so as any friction will just increase as u get more on, u could try lubing with lashings of washing up liquid, but that will make the grip equally slippy, if its copper i would try uncoiling it first. as from what i read up before going the way i did when using 8-10mm tube with 1/2" (about 12mm id) garden hose even with straight pipe people struggle after 3m or so.. when considering a coil cfc myself i thought OK i will just make 2 or more and run em together to make a longer chiller. that then called for a frame to hold the coils at the correct angle ......
You may well get a longer length with a wider id tube, but i would loose the wire as if u recoil the shape itself will add a turbulance imo, tho i am no expert on fluid dynamics..
